Original Clay Sculpture Supported by a series of metal supports (armatures) to hold the weight and structure of the clay.
The Mold is made from the original clay encased in plaster producing a workable wax figure. Then encased again in plaster preparing it for the bronze pouring.
Molten Bronze is poured into the plaster mold evaporating the wax figure inside (lost wax process) leaving a bronze figure ready for final detailing. Patina is the result of a brushed on chemical and heat reaction to the bronze changing the surface color of the sculpture.
